This is a nice appetizer or side dish.
2 T. packed brown sugar
2 T. water
2 T. soy sauce
1 T. white wine vinegar
1 T. olive oil
1/4 to 1/2 t. red pepper flakes
1/2 t. ground ginger
1/4 t. garlic powder
24 sliced white button mushrooms (approx. 16 oz.)
2 T. sliced green onion
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, soy sauce, vinegar, oil, red pepper, ginger and garlicpo wder.
Add mushrooms and green onion.
Cook and stir over medium heat until heated through.
Makes 4 appetizer portions, 90 calories.
